Sheepskin products are flame, dirt, and oil resistant, but will require regular cleaning and maintenance. They are very easy to care for and machine washable. We recommend Kookaburra Wash by Lambskin Specialties. This environmentally-friendly detergent is plant-based and peroxide/alkali/phosphate/enzyme-free. Its unique blend of tea tree oil and conditioners is ideal for natural shearling fibres (as well as other fabrics and blends - everything from Cotton to Lycra and Spandex.) For those with sensitivities, Kookaburra Wash is hypoallergenic.
